The performance dwells on sexual identity and femininity. The dramaturgy for the performance was devised during the rehearsals. It’s a performance that was born out of open discussions on femininity, evolving into further questioning how much we are formed by our sexual identity. Are femininity and masculinity social constructs or principles of nature? What happens when one crosses the boundaries of what is a so-called norm of femininity? Where does the gender end? Can one be a man and a woman at the same time? Social environment, media and the norms of society easily explain what is a man and what is a woman, but isn’t a binary gender system limiting our thinking? What happens to a person when his inside doesn’t match his outside? Is it difficult to accept yourself the way you are even if it’s not acceptable to the society?
